Whitney Strah, OCS - Practice Administrator

Whitney has been with Dr. Cuevas since he opened his doors in 2002. She sincerely enjoys working with patients, our referring doctors, managing the all-star staff and helping Dr. Cuevas create the practice that he so desires! In her free time, she enjoys being with her family, reading, singing, volunteering and spending time outdoors.

 
Kara Schmahl - Surgical Coordinator

Kara has been a part of the Rocky Mountain Ophthalmology team since 2004. She is the team’s surgical coordinator and insurance guru! She helps patients feel at ease as they go through the surgical process from start to finish. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, cooking, traveling and reading.

Monica Valenti, COA - Technician

Monica has been an ophthalmic technician for 16 years. She does the preliminary testing for Dr. Cuevas. She enjoys the interaction with the patients and staff. She is also bilingual (or fluent) in Spanish. Originally from the Chicagoland area, she just moved to Colorado last year and has been a part of our team since August 2010. She loves spending time with her family, her 1 year old daughter and husband. She is enjoying all the outdoor activities Colorado offers.

Kathy Flinn - Financial Manager

Kathy joined the staff in 2005 and is the numbers wizard of the practice. She runs a tight, lean ship and makes sure all of our books are in order. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her 2 Westie pups.

Amanda Klemenz - Patient Relations & Marketing

Amanda has been with Rocky Mountain Ophthalmology since 2009. Having been a part of Dr. Cuevas’ team, Amanda enjoys engaging with the patients on a daily basis. She is also very passionate about marketing and advertising and uses her skills to help grow the practice. Outside of the office she loves spending time with family and friends, hosting parties, traveling and shopping.

Jon Ortman - Physician's Liason

Jon Ortman, our Physician's Liaison, stays in contact with our area physicians and optometrists to keep them aware of the latest changes coming to Rocky Mountain Ophthalmology. RMO relies on Jon for receiving feedback from our referring providers to make sure that each and every patient has received the best experience possible.

Cassandra Nassif - Patient Relations

Cassandra first joined Rocky Mountain Ophthalmology in March 2008 and after taking a brief hiatus, joined our family once again in March of 2012. She is an integral part of our team , always offering a very friendly and professional welcome to everyone who walks in the door. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, cooking, the outdoors and sports.
